PAINTING "THE TRIBE OF ZEBULUN" after Marc CHAGALL (1887–1985) Lithograph on paper, framed under glass, signed in the lower right and numbered "149/500" in the lower left Reference to: “Zebulun dwells by the seashore; he is a sailor on the ships, and Sidon is at his side. Genesis 49:13” The subject refers to one of the 12 stained-glass windows created by Chagall in the late 1950s and early 1960s for the Abbel Synagogue at Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Kerem. These 12 stained-glass windows represent the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 sons of Jacob. Dimensions: 77 x 54 cm (visible area) Good condition
