A monumental masterpiece of nature for discerning premium collections. The Cypraea vitellus (scientifically recognized as Lyncina vitellus) fascinates with its bulbous, heavy shell and the beautiful, distinctive pattern of white speckles on a sand-brown background, reminiscent of a fawn's fur. With a gigantic length of 70 mm, this is an extreme exceptional specimen far beyond the normal size. The porcelain-like enamel coating is completely undamaged and possesses a mirror-smooth, deep natural luster of consummate aesthetics. Origin This authentic masterpiece comes from the species-rich reef waters around Coron, Palawan (Philippines). The Palawan region is world-renowned for its pristine marine ecosystems and yields shells of particularly high density, perfect symmetry, and contrasting pigmentation.
