Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) - “Le hibou, 1949”. - 60 x 50 cm.

Authorized screen print. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Size: 60 x 50 cm. The high-quality screen print underlines the graphic quality of the motif and gives the work a bright, pronounced presence. Picasso's shortened animal depictions belong to the most charming examples of his playful drawing. With a few precise lines, the artist manages to capture movement, character and expression in an impressive way. The motif “Le hibou” from 1949 comes from a particularly captivating early phase of Picasso's creation, in which his experimental formal language was already taking shape. Works from this period are regarded as particularly interesting for collectors, because they form the basis for later, style-defining developments. The representation impresses with its reduced, expressive linework and a direct, lively imagery. It is precisely the animal depictions from this phase that possess their own character and clearly differentiate themselves from later, heavily abstracted works. Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper. The shown photos are part of the description. This artwork is carefully and securely packed and shipped in protective acid-free paper. No shipping possible to the Canary Islands.
