Self-portrait seated is a work in which the artist represents himself as a figure seated, around whom everything revolves; he is the stable center of a dizzying system in which it is hard to keep balance while moving when he rises from his armchair. The work is delivered without a frame (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer must re-stretch it and mount it on a frame. The indicated measurements are those of the painting once stretched and mounted on the frame. The actual canvas dimensions are larger to allow for mounting. Hand-signed on the back. Includes certificate of authenticity. You can follow the artist’s work on his Instagram profile: https://www.instagram.com/oscarleonor/ Artistic trajectory, main exhibitions. Palazuelos de Eresma, Segovia The seller and his story: Spanish figurative painter. Born in Segovia in 1976, self-taught draftsman and painter for many years. He has exhibited his work in public venues and national and international art fairs since 2014. His interests are very varied; he conceives painting as a tool for re-connecting with oneself. His creative process has evolved over time; experimentation and the search for new paths, methods, and materials are the engine of his career. However, it can be said that the deconstruction of form and dialogue with the history of art have been two pillars that have remained and around which he finds the freedom to create and transmit. This attitude has led him through different routes throughout his life, trying different formulas and genres such as still life, the representation of personal objects, drawing and painting the human body, or symbolism and the narrative. His main wish is to develop a painting with a personal character that connects with him and in which humor is almost always present."}
