Orionwerk Tropen Rio An ultra-rare tropical configuration...

Museum-grade Orionwerk 'Tropen Rio' (circa 1921–1925). An ultra-rare tropical configuration in precious Teakwood & Heavy Gold Brass. Virtually extinct on the global market. Rarity: Extremely rare tropical museum model. Hardly findable in this complete condition. Materials: Precious Teakwood with solid brass fittings and heat-resistant calfskin. Built for extreme tropical climates. Lens & Shutter: High-end Meyer-Görlitz Trioplan f/4.5 - 13.5 cm (Serial number: 376986) in an original Compur shutter. Complete Set: Includes 3 original metal plate holders (III & IV), original heavy leather case and the rare, 100-year-old Agfa exposure chart (clearly legible). Condition & Operation: Beautiful optical condition with original patina and light oxidation on the brass. According to the previous owner it worked, but I deliberately did not test or touch to protect the fragile antique mechanism. The camera currently does not close fully and remains open; nothing has been tampered with. Case has age cracks (see photos) * Dimensions: approx. 16 cm x 12 cm x 6 cm (folded) * Weight: approx. 2.5 kg (complete set)

Estimate:$896.35
