original rare large dancer / Danseuse / Tänzerin - Carlier - Sculpture

Hard to find and graceful Art Deco dancer of considerable size on a great, stepped marble base made of Nero Portoro and white marble. Original piece around 1930-1950. Classic and graceful pose of the dancer, very beautiful in all details and nice, green patina. The figure is a full cast of Zamack, as it was common for the time and was produced in smaller editions. A similar sculpture can be found on the internet for comparison (by typing in "Art Deco sculpture ballerina 1stdibs"). The figure must be unscrewed from the marble pedestal for shipping.
