Original Luc Best - Luc Best – Tim’s Best Friend –...

Luc Best – Tim’s Best Friend – European Comic Culture – Limited Edition A contemporary interpretation of one of the visual worlds that shaped generations of European comic readers. In “Tim’s Best Friend”, Luc Best works with the atmosphere and nostalgic associations of classic Franco-Belgian comic culture, transferring them into his own contemporary graphic language. The image combines familiarity and reinterpretation. Elements that appear to belong to collective childhood memory are removed from their original context and transformed through collage, texture and modern visual composition. The appeal of the work lies in this balance between nostalgia and contemporary Pop Art. It is immediately accessible, yet reveals numerous details and visual layers when viewed more closely. Technique: Fine Art Giclée Paper: Premium museum-quality paper Image size: approx. 30 × 30 cm on A3+ sheet Edition: Limited worldwide to 25 copies + 3 Artist Proofs Authentication: Hand-signed, individually numbered and supplied with certificate of authenticity. Luc Best is a German artist and author whose works combine popular culture, classic design and contemporary mixed-media aesthetics.
