The 8.5 cm blade is made of European-origin Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, hardened to 55-57 HRC, an alloy developed to offer an excellent balance between cutting ability, edge durability, and corrosion resistance. Its high wear resistance allows the blade to retain its edge over time even after regular use on demanding materials, while stainless steel requires minimal maintenance under normal use conditions.
