All auctions / Contemporary Art / Omhie - Unveiled Silence
Unveiled Silence is a visual exploration of human introspection and vulnerability. The artwork features an enigmatic, raw figure whose skeletal structure and skull-like head draw deeply from neo-expressionist and street art iconographies. The "silence" referenced in the title is not an absence of sound, but a profound internal space—one that usually remains concealed beneath the surface of daily life. Through instinctive brushwork, dripping paint, and bold black linework, the canvas "unveils" this psychological state, making the invisible visible: unspoken thoughts, emotional complexity, and the fragility of existence. The background, built on layered neutral tones and muted grays, evokes urban textures and the passage of time. Meanwhile, sudden bursts of acid yellow cut through the stillness with vibrant energy, acting as a spark of intuition or an awakening of consciousness. Unveiled Silence invites the viewer to step back and confront what emerges when the noise of the world fades away.
