Her lowered gaze contrasts with the almost sculptural richness of her attire. Behind her, the vertical handle of a sabre appears, discreetly introducing the image of the Japanese warrior without breaking the serenity of the portrait. The whole figure seems to have been shaped in white porcelain decorated with cobalt blue. The face is threaded with peonies and floral ornaments while the monumental hairstyle blends flowers, porcelain motifs, and decorative elements. The garment extends this accumulation of details with landscapes, floral motifs, and golden fragments that stand out against the varying shades of blue. Each composition is digitally worked on a graphic tablet to gradually build up characters, motifs, materials, contrasts, and decorative details. Porcelain becomes a visual language here: its beauty, fragility, and imperfections allow exploration of themes such as femininity, strength, transformation, and reconstruction. This artwork was created manually on a graphic tablet without recourse to artificial intelligence, then adapted to its printing substrate to become a physical piece intended for exhibition.
