Take a good look at all the photos. The Numidian guineafowl is a gregarious African bird, recognizable by its grey plumage speckled with white spots and by its horned casque on the head. Taxidermy of the bird completed in early 2026; the bird is new. The characteristic colours of this bird with a crested head are sublime. A vervet monkey skull in excellent condition is present at the bird's feet. This skull comes from a donation in the 1930s from the Missionary Brothers of our Campaigns based in Togo. The vervet Chlorocebus is a genus of Old World monkeys in the family Cercopithecidae, commonly called green monkeys or vervets in the broad sense. The distribution range of these primates is Sub-Saharan Africa, from Senegal to Ethiopia and down to South Africa.
