Rarely Encountered Pick-1 in VF (◊) NORWAY. Norges Bank. 5 Kroner, 1877. P-1a. PMG Very Fine 20. First date of issue. Reported printing of 4.2 million notes. A type that was printed well into the 20th century, ensuring that notes such as this remained in circulation for a long time and, as a result, are rare in any grade. This is a well-circulated example but is entirely problem-free, with good paper quality and nothing that stands out beyond what is to be expected for the assigned grade. A rare type, surely missing from even the most advanced collections. (◊) This lot has been consigned from the European Union and will be shipped or picked up from our Denmark office once the auction concludes. Item is subject to full VAT for non-VAT registered entities or individuals who take delivery of lots within EU countries. For any lots delivered outside of Denmark the declaration value shall be the item’(s) hammer price plus its buyer’s premium. Buyer shall be responsible for paying all applicable taxes, duties, and customs charges for all lots delivered outside Denmark. Please see Terms and Conditions.
