All auctions / Asian Art / Norman Wilson for Wedgwood Glazed Porcelain Vase

This small ovoid ceramic vase is attributed to the work of Norman Wilson (N.W.) for Wedgwood. The piece features a sophisticated gradient glaze effect on a fine porcelain body. The upper portion of the exterior is finished in a pale grayish-green celadon-style glaze characterized by an intentional fine crackle or crazing pattern. This color transitions smoothly into a deep, mottled reddish-purple glaze on the lower half, reminiscent of a peach bloom or oxblood finish. The interior of the vase is coated in a smooth, creamy white glaze. The vessel is designed with a rounded, tapering body ending in a small, slightly flared circular foot. The underside is glazed and bears several collection stickers: a silver circular label for the Rubin Collection, a white circular label for the Born Collection with the handwritten notation H / 1148 over H, and a peeling rectangular label with the number 985.204. NW stamped on the inner base rim. Dimensions: 4.75"L x 4.75"W x 4.75"H Dimensions: 4.75"L x 4.75"W x 4.75"H Weight: 1.00 lb 1.00oz Condition Request Condition Report Good
