NOLAC - La promesse des horizons de nuit

Technical Characteristics: Artist: NOLAC Title: "The Promise of Night Horizons" Dimensions: 60x40 cm Support: Acrylic on canvas mounted on wood panel Style: Expressionist Year: 2026 Condition: Excellent, direct from the studio Shipping: Secured reinforced packaging. Tracked shipment Description: The work: A masterful nocturnal seascape with theatrical and captivating depth. Under a cobalt blue night sky bathed in an entrancing moonlit glow, a regatta of sailing ships cleaves a dark sea traversed by reflections of gold and azure. In the background, the dark coastline is illuminated by the warm windows of harbor houses, creating a striking contrast between the water’s mysterious coolness and the softness of the inhabited shores. A poetic, vibrant, and highly narrative composition. Technique: The work is executed in acrylic using brush and painting knife on canvas mounted on a wood panel. The blend of brush for the atmospheric fades of the night sky and the knife for sculpted texture brings spectacular energy. Generous impasto shapes mold the form of the white sails, the lapping of the water, and the sparkling bursts of light along the shore. The Artist: With more than 25 years of professional career (established since 2001, first exhibition in 1992), NOLAC (born 1970) is an accomplished artist. Her knife-work is her signature, combining the boldness of gesture with poetic finesse. She now embraces a freer, more instinctive interpretation of maritime and nocturnal scenes, brushing against luminous and expressive abstraction. Prestations: Unique artwork, direct from her studio, signed, varnished. Delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity.
