Lot Description Object / Type: Large, round statement medallion pendant with floral openwork pattern (ajour work). Description: For sale is a magnificent and rare large pendant made of high-quality 900 fine silver. The jewelry piece features a masterfully designed floral motif with three detailed blossoms and delicate leaves. The pattern was completely cut out (freed) in elaborate and precise handwork, creating a beautiful play of light. Due to the stately diameter of over 54 mm, this pendant is an absolute showstopper and an excellent example of traditional, solid goldsmithing of the 20th century. The back side of the frame is clean and clearly visible with the stamped "HANDARBEIT" and the fineness "900". Details & Condition: • Material: Silver (fineness 900/1000) • Production: Guaranteed handwork (stamped) • Motif: Floral design / flowers & leaves • Diameter (without loop): 54.3 mm (measured exactly with a digital caliper) • Weight: 16.4 grams • Condition: Very good vintage condition with minimal, age-related signs of wear (slight surface scratches on the smooth backside). The silver has a charming, authentic patina that beautifully emphasizes the depth of the relief.
