Antique Art Nouveau jabot pin – 800 silver & 14 karat rose gold – niello effect Special antique jabot-/clothing pin, presumably from the Jugendstil/Art Nouveau period, ca. 1900–1915. An elegant and unusual piece with graceful, organic scroll designs. Executed in 800 silver with a beautiful dark niello effect, which makes the relief and linework stand out strongly. This type of long pin was originally used to hold a jabot, lace collar, necktie, or pleated fabric in place. Nowadays beautifully worn as a distinctive brooch: on a blouse, through a scarf, or to fasten a scarf to the lapel of a jacket.
