Antique Art Nouveau jabot pin – 800 silver & 14 karat rose gold – niello effect Special antique jabot-/clothing pin, presumably from the Jugendstil/Art Nouveau period, ca. 1900–1915. An elegant and unusual piece with graceful, organic scroll designs. Executed in 800 silver with a beautiful dark niello effect, which makes the relief and linework stand out strongly. Finished with subtle details in 14 karat rose gold, including the small bead and the engraved element on the shank. This type of long pin was originally used to hold a jabot, lace collar, necktie, or pleated fabric in place. Nowadays beautifully worn as a distinctive brooch: on a blouse, through a scarf, or to fasten a scarf to the lapel of a jacket.
