Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Pair of Vintage Persian Silk Qum Rugs - Circa 1970 Size: 5 ft 9 in x 3 ft 7 in (1.75 m x 1.09 m)+5 ft x 3 ft 7 in (1.52 m x 1.09 m) Provenance: Property of a Nashville collector A refined pair of vintage silk Qum rugs with finely articulated medallions, intricate floral detail, and luminous surfaces. The exceptional fineness possible with silk allows the curved vines and miniature blossoms to be rendered with clarity approaching that of manuscript illumination. Their related scale and elegant coloration make them especially desirable for balanced placement within a formal bedroom, library, or sitting room. Offered as a pair without reserve. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #580 includes two pieces, both in very good condition. The pile on both pieces is complete and even, with no visible signs of wear or tear. Ends are complete, original, and securely finished, and the sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The smaller piece would benefit from cleaning to achieve its best appearance. The larger piece is clean and floor-ready.
