NIMROD G.P. Pulse Generator (manufacturer unknown), a specialised pulse generation unit, believed to have been produced for electronic systems testing ** The instrument provides adjustable output pulses with pulse lengths from approximately 200 microseconds to 2.5 milliseconds, together with an adjustable pulse repetition frequency (PRF) control. Operating modes include single shot, off, and timed repetition settings of one and two seconds The unit provides a simple signal output and earth connection, suggesting use as a dedicated test accessory rather than a general purpose laboratory instrument The NIMROD designation may indicate an association with the avionics, radar or support equipment developed for the British Nimrod maritime patrol aircraft programme ** From the David Read Collection
