Newscast Hockey Photos (5)

A unique grouping, these 8" x 10" original press photos are an excellent mix of action shots and a team portrait. The group includes a January 2nd, 1969 Montreal vs Chicago action shot featuring Henri Richard, Bob Rousseau, Dennis Hull, Tom Reid, Dick Duff and Jacques Laperriere (Newspaper clip included). A March 30 1969 action shot showing a goal scored on Gary Bergman with Pit Martin scoring a hatrick (Newspaper clip included). Also included is a January 23rd 1969 Hawks vs Flyers game showing an action shot of a referee jumping to get out of the way of a puck with Jim Pappin, Pit Martin and John Miszuk in the shot (Newspaper clip included). An older example is a 1930s New York Rovers team shot. The Rovers were an EHL team who acted as a farm organization to the New York Rangers. The final inclusion is a January 12 , 1969 photo of Henri Richard diving to attempt to score on Jack Norris. Although no guarantees are made upon potential future grading, it is of our opinion that 4/5 photos would be considered type I by PSA while the final Richard goal photo would be Type III. 3/5 photos include their backside captions to be used in news printing as well as the actual later printed newspaper cut out.
