ew Boston, Texas. $5 1929 Ty. 1. Fr. 1800-1. First NB. Charter #5636. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20. Situated close to the geographic center of Bowie County roughly 25 miles away from Texarkana. New Boston stands as Texarkana's overshadowed counterpart in several ways even in numismatic terms. Served by two National Banks rather than the six that served both sides of the stateline in Texarkana, New Boston is represented by only 17 non-institutional notes in the National Bank Note Census recorded between those two banks. Here bidders have the chance to consider an evenly circulated T1 $5 which is one of 15 notes recorded on the First National Bank (Charter# 5636) and stands destined to attract the interest of numerous collectors who specialize in Nationals from northeast Texas. Estimate: $1,000 - $1,500. Provenance: From the Jack Copeland Currency Collection, Part IV. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimate:$600
