Netherlands, Utrecht Gouden Enkele Dukaat 1649; AU55

Gold ducat 1649 struck for the province of Utrecht. Graded by NGC as AU55. It seems that a different mintmark was used for this coin, as the letters are significantly smaller than on other coins from this year. Around 1650, production shifted from manual to machine-made. Perhaps this is one of the last to be struck by hand. See photos for a good personal impression. Will be shipped by registered mail and insured.

Estimate:$1,227.22
