WWII - 1949 - 1945 - Handwritten RAF song on the back of original sheet music with K number 165. Blaues Boot. A particularly historic World War II document, with handwritten English-language lyrics about the British Royal Air Force (RAF). The page was offered at the time to the RAF in England, (without response). Original illustrated sheet music of Blaues Boot (Mein eigen Land), music by Michael Jary and lyrics by Bruno Balz. Copyright 1940 Alfred Klabunde Musikverlag, Berlin. Dutch edition by NV Gramac Amsterdam. With green trade stamp from the music shop Goossens & Swagerman in ’s-Hertogenbosch. There also appears to be a watermark, a kind of letters, when you hold the page to the light. Bottom left is the printed K-number 165. These numbers were introduced from July 1941 under German occupation to identify presses and control the printed matter. An unusually well-preserved war document, in which German entertainment music and a handwritten pro-British RAF song come together. In one of the photos an attempt has been made to render the correct translation of this song.
