Dutch Jubilee Coin issued in 1889 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorwegmaatschappij Metal: bronze - Weight: 38.5 grams - Diameter: 44 millimeters. Front: Depicts the steam locomotive “Frans Hals,” with a detailed rendering of the smokestack, boiler, cab, and driving wheels, emitting a churning plume of smoke. Legend around: “Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij”. Signature “W. SCHAMMER” on the left side. Reverse: Three-line central inscription in Roman numerals: 1839 / 20 September / 1889 within a wreath composed of coats of arms representing Dutch cities, interwoven with laurel branches.
