Beautiful lot with 7 lip and ear plugs, made from quartz, rock crystal and carnelian. Until recently, lip plugs were used in West Africa as body adornment. Such plugs were also worn along the outside of the ears, as can be seen from the perforations on archaeological terracotta figures. No restorations.
