Neolithic Flint Beautiful Pointes, Triangular Scrapper from Grand Pressigny

Typology: Bifacial Points and Scraper Material: Flint Description: Collection of five authentic prehistoric flint tools, consisting of four finely worked points and one scraper. The group includes two triangular points and two leaf-shaped (foliate) points, all carefully shaped and finely retouched on both faces. The fifth artefact is a leaf-shaped scraper, also displaying fine and regular retouching. The pieces are made from attractive warm brown to honey-brown flint, with subtle reddish and amber variations. The numerous overlapping flake scars and carefully finished edges illustrate the high level of skill achieved by the prehistoric flint knappers of the Grand-Pressigny region. Dating / Period: Late Neolithic, approximately 5,000–4,000 years BP. Hominid: Homo sapiens sapiens Origin: Le Grand-Pressigny region, Indre-et-Loire, France Dimensions: Approximately 4.6 cm to 5.5 cm. Condition: Very good condition. All five artefacts are well preserved, with clearly visible bifacial flake scars and fine peripheral retouching. Beautiful natural brown to honey-colored surfaces, with minor mineral variations and traces consistent with age. The workmanship and overall preservation allow the prehistoric knapping techniques to be clearly observed. Acquired in 2015 from a French collection.
