Exclusive very long necklace consisting of: - Natural Moonstone - 92 cm - VERY LONG - First Quality What makes this stone truly unique is its adularescence, an optical phenomenon that generates a whitish glow that seems to float just below its surface when the gem moves. This effect occurs thanks to light diffracting as it passes through microscopic and alternating layers of two minerals: orthoclase and albite. Historically, ancient civilizations believed this stone formed from solidified moonbeams. In modern gemotherapy and esotericism, it is considered the "stone of new beginnings." It is attributed properties strongly linked to emotional balance, intuition, and feminine energy (associated with hormonal cycles and fertility). It also played a major role in artistic jewelry during the Art Nouveau era in the late 19th century. The beads are strung on a silk/cotton blend thread with a knot on each bead. The first Moonstone piece found was in a Sri Lankan mine, about 50 years ago.
