Vietnamese Silver Indochina War Tobacco Set with Dragons. Tobacco smoking set made in silver in Vietnam with embossed dragon decoration. The silver was worked in Vietnamese workshops and then exported to France where the final assembly of the entire set was done at the MYON Workshops. The lighter cover was attached to the lighter. These tobacco sets were pieces that the military ordered during the Indochina War which took place between 1945 and 1954. The pieces were produced in the Saigon and Hanoi workshops and then final assembly was carried out in France where they were mainly distributed to military personnel. In some cases inscriptions are found on the cigarette cases bearing the soldier’s name and the date since they could be personalized. This set is complete and contains a cigarette case with a dragon decoration, a pipe and a lighter, with its original pink silk-lined case inside. The weight of the cigarette case is 74 g, the silver mouthpiece of the pipe 5 g, and the lighter cover approximately 14 g.
