Vintage burr wood music box jewelry case - Manifattura di Sorrento - Italy Object description Fascinating vintage jewelry box music box, a splendid example of high Italian craftsmanship, finely made and dating to the second half of the 20th century. The lid is decorated with a refined wooden floral inlay depicting a large central composition, framed by a double geometric border. The structure is entirely crafted from fine burr wood, characterized by its warm natural grains highlighted by a high-quality, mirror-like polish. The interior is fully lined with soft blue velvet, perfect for storing jewelry or small precious objects. On the external bottom of the box is the classic metal winding key and the inscription "Made in Italy", guaranteeing the original craftsmanship (attributable to the famous artisanal tradition of Sorrento). Condition • Musical mechanism: Perfectly functional. The music box activates regularly and emits a clear melody. • Aesthetic conditions: Very good, as in the photos. The polish maintains its original brilliance. It shows only very light and normal signs of age that attest to its authenticity and era. Main features • Exterior material: Burr wood with multi-wood inlays • Interior material: Blue velvet • Origin: Sorrento, Italy • Markings: "Made in Italy" stamped on the bottom • Accessories: Original winding key included at the base An elegant and poetic antique piece, ideal for music box collectors or as a refined decorative accent for classic and vintage interiors. The music box is working, so please, future buyer, wind the music box crank gently and without forcing, stopping at the first sign of resistance to avoid any unpleasant damage. Packaging: packed with extreme care using ample bubble wrap, double cardboard, and a sturdy box.
