Entirely handmade in Murano using lamp-worked glass, this necklace blends the transparency of crystal, the light of silver, and a burst of color in a light, contemporary design. The pendant is a large oval crystal glass pearl, lamp-worked and shaped with soft ridges that gather at the ends like a bud. Inside, a silver leaf submerged in the crystal creates luminous reflections and a delicately craquelé pattern. Around the central band runs a garland of transparent glass drops, applied and fused one by one: cobalt blue, light blue, turquoise, emerald green, lime green, amber, orange, ruby red, pink, lilac, and crystal. When struck by light, the drops cast small colored reflections, making the jewel come alive at any time of day. The pearl is threaded onto a slim, forced-loop chain in silver-colored metal, along which it slides freely. The spring-ring clasp, with extension chain, allows for adjustable length. Each piece is unique: the arrangement of the drops, the color shading, and the texture of the silver vary from piece to piece. Small air bubbles and irregularities in the glass are signs of artisanal craftsmanship, not defects. Details Technique: lamp-worked glass with submerged silver leaf and hot-applied drops. Length: about 44 cm, adjustable with the extension chain (princess length, falls at the base of the throat). Pendant: about 4 × 3 × 3 cm. Chain and clasp: silver-colored metal.
