Muller Frères - Chandelier - The Starry Night - Nickel-plated bronze. Perspex

Elegant Art Deco pendant lamp from the French glassmaker Müller Frères of Lunéville, produced circa 1930. The model is named The Starry Night, a geometric pattern of stylized sunbursts and sparkling stars. The lamp features a beautiful, goblet-shaped glass shade with a richly worked relief decoration. The combination of stylized star motifs, geometric lines and pronounced vertical elements gives the glass a particularly decorative character. The alternation between clear and more matte parts creates a subtle play of light and shadow. The shade is supported by a nickel-plated fixture with three arms, which converge at a decorative ceiling canopy with star/fan ornaments. The interplay between the refined glasswork and the geometric metal construction is characteristic of the elegant design of the French Art Deco period. The lamp is carefully packed and insured for shipment.
