FULL DESCRIPTION This exceptional contemporary Mrirt rug was entirely hand-knotted by skilled Berber women weavers in the Khenifra region of Morocco’s Middle Atlas. Measuring 200 × 300 cm, this authentic Moroccan wool rug features a striking architectural composition of nested rectangular shapes. A vibrant ochre-yellow frame surrounds a soft beige-pink section and a natural ivory centre, all set against a warm cream background. The bold geometric design and carefully balanced colours give this unique rug the appearance of a contemporary abstract artwork. Crafted from carefully selected natural sheep’s wool, the rug has a dense, thick and exceptionally soft pile.
