The Montblanc No. 420 is a classic vintage fountain pen with a black barrel, gold-plated fittings, and a nib made of 14-karat gold. This version features an integrated piston-filling system and a viewing window to check the ink level. The clean, slightly conical profile and understated design reflect the functional Montblanc design of that era. With its balanced form, high-quality gold nib, and classic piston mechanism, the No. 420 is suitable as both a reliable writing instrument and an interesting collector’s piece. The fountain pen features a burgundy-red body. The fountain pen is in very good, apparently unused condition (NOS) and has not been filled with ink. The surface shows a few light scratches and minor storage marks.
