We present at auction an authentic icon of timeless elegance: the Montblanc Meisterstück Classique Portemine (model 165). This sophisticated writing instrument perfectly embodies the essence of the famous German maison, offering a design with universal appeal and uncompromising mechanical reliability, ideal for accompanying your notes or drawings with maximum precision. The body and cap are masterfully crafted in Montblanc’s famed black precious resin, whose smooth, deeply glossy surface creates a magnificent and luxurious contrast with the bright solid metal details, all finely plated in yellow gold. The aesthetic is defined by the classic elegance of the sleek clip and the three unmistakable golden rings, the central one being thicker and bearing the sharp inscription of the brand name. At the rounded top of the cap, the white six-pointed star stands out, a universal symbol of prestige and artisanal craftsmanship. On the upper ring of the clip, the individual serial number is regularly engraved. Technically speaking, this prestigious specimen is configured as a mechanical pencil with a continuous-advance mechanism, a smooth and precise action operated by the classic rotation of the cap, designed to house thin and elegant leads. The photographs showing the detachable portamine reveal the perfect integrity of the solid metal internal structure, the cleanliness of the reservoir unit, and the small eraser stored under the cap. The conservation status of this fascinating instrument is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The precious resin presents itself beautifully polished and free of deep scratches, showing only microscopic, normal surface signs (hairlines) due to careful and respectful handling. The dazzling gold finishes are bright and perfectly preserved, with no oxidation or evident wear.
