“Once upon a time…” The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Brothers Grimm is dedicated to Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and celebrates their work collecting and reworking German and European fairy tales, among which we recall some of the most famous such as “Snow White,” “Cinderella,” and “Sleeping Beauty.” The overall silhouette of the writing instrument reproduces the shape of an ancient mountain staff, and the black color evokes the darkness of the forests, the usual setting of the Grimm brothers’ fairy tales. Additionally, the wavy pattern on the body and cap is inspired by Rapunzel’s hair and also evokes the shape of roots, a reference to the fact that the Grimm brothers viewed their linguistic work as a “search linked to roots.” The cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in precious resin. When rotated, the platinum-finish clip, inspired by a piece of gnarled wood, unexpectedly reveals the silhouette of the Grimm brothers’ profile. P.S. the serial on the box does not match the one on the pen… the box in the jewelry store was swapped by mistake.
