MONSIGNOR DARBOY KLENCK, Paul. Monsignor Darboy, Archbishop of Paris. Assassinated on May 24, 1871, at La Roquette Prison. Paris, Imp. Talons, [1871]. Black lithograph depicting Georges Darboy (1813–1871), Archbishop of Paris, in ecclesiastical vestments, holding his pectoral cross. Commemorative print published after his execution as a hostage during the Paris Commune on May 24, 1871. Signed P. Klenck. The print is heavily creased and wrinkled; there are significant tears and damage along the right edge, as well as small marginal tears.
