Miguel de Miguel - La distancia invisible XL

Miguel de Miguel – International Plastic Artist* Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work forms part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently resides and creates in Italy. His painting combines figure and abstraction with a personal language, where vibrant color, symbolic forms, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Face-less figures, symbolic natures, and scenes suspended in time shape a poetic and sensitive universe. With more than four decades of creation behind him, Miguel de Miguel offers work that is not only observed but experienced from the most intimate level. An art that crosses borders, styles, and words. The work builds an encounter between two human presences that, even sharing the same space, seem to inhabit different inner worlds. The depersonalized faces remove individual identity to turn the figures into symbols of a more universal human condition. The intense yellow, laden with matter and energy, takes on an almost solar dimension against the cool blues of the faces. Black, far from being a mere contour, acts as a border between the figures and as a space of silence that heightens their mystery. The vigorous brushwork, textures, and synthetic construction of the bodies contribute an expressive physicality that contrasts with the absence of facial features. This opposition between matter and anonymity constitutes one of the painting’s main values: the subjects are present, yet they keep something inaccessible, something the viewer must complete from their own experience. The work does not tell a concrete story; it proposes a relationship, a proximity, and a question about identity, communication, and the emotional distance between human beings. It is sent with a certificate of authenticity
