Pair of miniature mechanical clocks in a French-inspired style, with glass-fronted cases and a silver finish. Set of two (2) miniature desk clocks, one with a circular case and the other rectangular, inspired by traditional French carriage clocks. Both feature a folding handle, moulded bases and crystal panels that allow viewing the movements from different angles. The circular model combines curved crystals with fluted pillars and a stepped base. The rectangular one presents architectural lines, corner columns and bevelled crystals. Their white dials include Roman numerals, minute markers, and black cut-out hands. Both are powered by a key-wound mechanical movement—escapement and balance wheel—visible through the top crystal. The rear glass doors allow access to the winding mechanisms and time-setting. The key (1) with two ends shown in the photographs is included. Approximate dimensions and weights: — Circular: 7 cm high and 6 cm in diameter. Weight: 385 g. — Rectangular: 8 × 6 × 6 cm. Weight: 500 g.
