2 × Ahmad Shah Qajar 5000 Dinar Silver Coins + Official Pahlavi Nowruz Silver Commemorative Medal (1349 SH / 1970 AD) A historically attractive oriental silver collection consisting of one official Pahlavi commemorative medal and two silver 5000 Dinar coins of Ahmad Shah Qajar. The centerpiece is the official silver Nowruz commemorative medal issued during the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi to celebrate Nowruz 1349 SH (1970 AD). The obverse features the conjoined portraits of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi and Empress Farah Pahlavi, while the reverse bears the celebrated Shi’a inscription: “La fata illa Ali, la sayf illa Zulfiqar.” The lot also includes two original 5000 Dinar silver coins of Ahmad Shah Qajar, depicting the youthful portrait of the last Qajar monarch.
