Mid XXth C.table linen with 10 napkins and initials G.O

This is a perfect set of early 20th-century damask table linen, accompanied by 10 matching napkins, with an additional napkin included free of charge. The ever-popular anemone flower takes centre stage in this beautiful design. The border is particularly striking, with densely woven anemones set between two graceful rows of decorative swirls, creating an elegant and beautifully balanced finish. The central field continues the anemone theme, but in a more relaxed and understated arrangement, allowing the richness of the damask weave to speak for itself. The initials G.O. are prominently embroidered in a deep red, standing out beautifully against the soft damask background and giving the linen a very personal character. The table linen is generously proportioned, measuring 2.45 metres x 1.70 metres, making it ideal for a substantial dining table. The 10 matching napkins carry the same anemone damask design and are exceptionally generous in size, each measuring 84 x 70 cm. We are also including an 11th napkin free of charge. This napkin has previously been repaired and the repair has been covered with thermocollant. It is therefore offered as an extra rather than counted among the 10 perfect matching napkins. A beautiful and very usable set of French antique table linen, with a particularly attractive floral damask and the added distinction of the deep red embroidered initials.
