This authentic Moroccan Beni M’Guild rug dates from the 1970s–1980s and originates from the Middle Atlas region of Morocco, renowned for producing some of the most durable and richly textured Berber carpets. Handwoven using traditional Berber techniques, this vintage rug features a beautiful mid-century modern aesthetic with a dense wool pile and a vibrant geometric diamond pattern. The design combines deep burgundy, green and warm natural tones on an ivory background, creating a dynamic yet balanced composition typical of Beni M’Guild craftsmanship. These rugs were traditionally woven for domestic use in the Atlas Mountains, which explains their exceptional durability and thick, comfortable wool texture. The rug has been professionally washed and carefully cleaned to preserve the natural beauty of the wool while ensuring it is ready for immediate use in a modern interior. Today, vintage Beni M’Guild rugs from the 1970s are highly sought after by collectors, interior designers and lovers of authentic Moroccan textiles for their bold patterns, rich colours and timeless decorative appeal. This large-format rug is ideal for a living room, loft, gallery space or large interior, where its striking mid-century design can become the centerpiece of the room.
