Folio, beige publisher’s cardboard binding, with the title “Michelangelo” printed in red on the front cover. First volume of the collection *Die Handzeichnung*, published under the direction of Otto Zoff. A selection of drawings by Michelangelo, compiled and introduced by Otto Zoff. The volume features full-page reproductions of a significant collection of the master’s drawings: figure studies, nudes, heads, anatomical studies, and preparatory compositions, allowing readers to trace the essential role of drawing in the development of his work. German edition published in Potsdam in 1923; an interesting publication devoted exclusively to Michelangelo’s graphic work. The cardboard binding is heavily weathered and stained, with foxing, rubbing, and wear along the edges and corners; some foxing inside.
