Michael Sutty Fine China Bust, Lawrence of Arabia

Michael Sutty (English, 20th century). Fine china portrait bust depicting T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) in traditional Arab dress. The figure wears a cream-colored kaffiyeh secured by a gold-tone agal and a tan robe. A gilt jambiya (curved dagger) is tucked into the chest belt, detailed with small red, blue, and green cabochons. The bust is mounted on a circular pedestal base with a grey and white marbled finish. The underside features a printed black circular mark with a stylized symbol of a vertical line intersected by a crescent moon and horizontal line, surrounded by the words "MICHAEL SUTTY FINE CHINA." To the right of the factory mark is a printed "Made in England" mark above a hand-painted black script signature reading "M Sutty".
