Condition: Excellent overall condition both in the paint layer and the canvas. The colors retain all their vibrancy, and the stretcher remains perfectly firm and stable. The frame shows minor signs of age that do not detract from the beauty of the artwork. Title: Menchu Lamas (Vigo, 1954) – "Composition with Figure and Fruits" (c. 1985) – Oil / mixed media on canvas Description: Magnificent and vibrant original artwork by the prestigious Spanish contemporary artist Menchu Lamas, one of the most influential figures in late 20th-century Spanish art and a leading member of the historic Atlántica art movement in the 1980s. This piece perfectly showcases the artist's signature iconographic language from her golden era: the use of anthropomorphic silhouettes charged with primary symbolism, rich heavy-textured brushstrokes, and a bold chromatic contrast over a background of horizontal stripes. Pieces from this exact same iconic series are part of major institutional collections, such as the Afundación Art Collection. An exceptional opportunity for collectors of Spanish contemporary avant-garde art.
