Entwurf Prof. Heinz Werner (1928), Malerei Elke Dannenberg. Serie „Limitierte MEISSENER Kunstwerke“. Böttgersteinzeug mit feiner Golddekor- und Emailmalerei. Modell / Artikel-Nr.: 681884-85922-1. Am Boden Schwertermarke, eingepresste Stempelmarke „BÖTTGER STEINZEUG“, Maler-Signet sowie goldene Limitierungsnummer 23/25. Masse: 46,5 cm. Tadelloser, neuwertiger Zustand. Mit originalem Zertifikat der Manufaktur Meissen („Limitierte MEISSENER Kunstwerke“, Nummer 23 von 25). | MEISSEN, rare Böttger stoneware vase “The Abduction”, 20th century Designed by Prof. Heinz Werner (1928), painted by Elke Dannenberg. From the series “Limited MEISSEN Artworks”. Böttger stoneware with finely executed gold and enamel decoration. Model/article no. 681884-85922-1. The base with crossed swords mark, impressed “BÖTTGER STEINZEUG” mark, painter’s signature and gilded edition number 23/25. Height: 46.5 cm. Tall, bulbous vase with a long, tower-like neck and removable cover. The rounded body raised on a waisted, relief-decorated foot with a polychrome tongue frieze. The body decorated with a finely executed, Oriental-inspired narrative scene in matt and burnished gold in the style of “One Thousand and One Nights”, depicting guards, palace architecture and, on the slender neck, the abduction of the princess by her prince on horseback. The front featuring exceptionally fine gold silhouette painting, accented by subtle colour gradations on the nodus. The work masterfully combines the historical formal vocabulary of the early Meissen metalwork carafes, produced under the direction of court silversmith Johann Jacob Irminger, with the modern, fairytale-like imagery of Prof. Heinz Werner. In pristine, like-new condition. Accompanied by the original certificate from the Meissen manufactory (“Limited MEISSEN Artworks”), numbered 23 of 25. SHIPPING TO THE USA MUST BE ARRANGED BY THE BUYER.
