Meissen porcelain group ‘The Broken Eggs’, c. 1775, Marcolini Period.

A fine Marcolini Meissen porcelain group, ‘The Broken Eggs’, c. 1775. Modelled by Michel Victor Acier, as two ladies accompanied by putti, with an upturned basket of broken eggs at their feet. Set upon a circular base, moulded with a continuous freeze of arches and rosettes, after a design by Johann Carl Schonheit. The details finely moulded, with careful attention to the enamelled decoration.
