MEDSAN - Kiki's Snowy Evening Flight (雪の夕べのキキ) - UNIQUE WORK

There is only one in the world - EDITION 1/1 On this vertical format, Medsan makes Kiki, the heroine of Kiki the Little Witch by Studio Ghibli, fly above a snowy Japanese village at sunset. Sitting on her broom, in a dark dress, with her big red bow and her shoulder bag, she gives us a gentle smile. In front of her, Jiji, her black cat, stands upright on the handle. Below them, a stairwell winds down between snow-covered wooden houses, lit by red lanterns and orange-lit windows; on one of them, a sign bears the words やまの湯. To the right, a vermilion torii and a stone lantern mark the entrance to a shrine. Further away, the bay reflects the city lights and the sun setting between blue mountains, under orange clouds. In the upper right corner, a light cartouche bears the title 雪の夕べ, above a red seal. The night blue, ember orange, and white of the snow share the image, like a first flight before night. A bright and peaceful piece, ideal for bringing a touch of Japanese poetry to a collector’s interior who loves the Ghibli universe.
