MEDSAN - Grendizer on Vacation (休暇中のグレンダイザー) - UNIQUE WORK

THERE IS ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD - EDITION 1/1 In this square format, Medsan offers Actarus, the pilot of Goldorak, a relaxing afternoon by the pool at a villa on the edge of the Mediterranean. He keeps his green ram-air helmet and his red and black suit, but he is lounging on a yellow inflatable mattress, hands clasped behind his neck and bare legs stretched out. He glances sideways, perfectly calm. Offshore, Goldorak stands in the sea, immense, with his yellow horns raised against a deep blue sky and his fists clenched, with water foaming around his legs, as if waiting for his pilot to finish swimming. On the terrace, a white villa opens its large bay windows onto a bright living room, and a striped blue-and-white sunbed remains empty. The palm trees cast their shadows on the slabs and flower beds of pink blooms spill over a low stone wall. Further away, a village clings to a cape topped with a lighthouse, facing a rocky islet and a white sailboat. The turquoise of the pool echoes the blue of the sea, and the red of the robot matches the color of the swimsuit. It looks like a day off for the defender of Earth. A sunlit and witty piece, ideal for adding a nostalgic summer touch to a collector’s interior of manga culture.
