A striking triangular bronze pendant, proposed to date from the Late Medieval to Early Modern period, approximately 14th–17th century, distinguished by its strong geometric form and richly ornamented surface. At the heart of the pendant is a prominent deep red faceted stone or glass insert, held within an elaborate circular setting. The intense red centre immediately draws the eye and forms the focal point of the entire composition. Historically, red stones were sometimes associated with ideas of vitality, strength, protection and life, making the central setting particularly evocative when interpreted as an amuletic jewel. Surrounding it are numerous small circular and spiral-like ornaments, arranged symmetrically around the triangular field. Their repetition gives the pendant an almost celestial appearance, as though smaller circles are revolving around a central radiant stone. The beaded outer border further emphasizes the triangle and gives the object a remarkably elaborate appearance. Symbolically, the triangle can evoke stability, unity and the sacred number three. In a Christian medieval interpretation, threefold compositions could naturally recall the Holy Trinity, although this cannot be established as the original intention of this particular object. Together with the central red element and repeating circles, the design creates a powerful visual impression of a protective sacred centre surrounded by ordered symbols. The bronze displays attractive dark brown, golden and green patinated tones, beautifully contrasting with the deep red centre.
