Special kidney dagger, European stabbing weapon In excellent preserved condition With blacksmith's mark in the shape of a halberd Well-preserved kidney dagger from the 15th century wooden grip preserved with a filigree guard and pommel Over time, the two bulges became smaller until they disappeared entirely. There are various versions of the kidney dagger. This one features a very elaborately worked guard, finely cut. The owner was probably wealthy. The pommel is worked similarly to a bishop's mitre; between the wooden grip and the iron there are brass supporting pieces. Two-edged solid iron blade, with smith's mark overall just under 30 cm long 2018 from private collection T.K. Acquired
